IRENE is NOT on our name list

It'e been awhile since I've posted but the last 2 weeks have been hectic to say the least! Last week, we were in Vegas (me for work and Rick on vacation). It was a hellish trip from start to finish and really kicked my butt in terms of zapping all of my energy. I'm still trying to recover!

A few days ago, Hurricane Irene paid us a visit and although we did not sustain damage like you see on TV, it was enough of an inconvenience to truly realize what luxuries we have. We lost power for almost 2 days! The first few hours you think, Oh this is easy!..after the 1st day, you start to think...Oh Lord, this is tougher than I thought! We drove to my dad's and borrowed his generator which did save us for a few hours along with all of the contents in our fridge! Can't let all my ice cream spoil, now could I?

This past Wednesday we successfully completed Amniocentesis. I was admittedly nervous and anxious about the procedure and possible results. But after today's doctor appointment, all seems to be ok. Babies are healthy and are on track thus far. Such a relief to hear! As for the gender....we are still in the dark and will have to wait and see! No worries...until we have confirmation - we will share the news with you!

For now, babies are 17 weeks and 2 days! BPM for Baby A is 150 and BPM for Baby B is 153!
Only 22 weeks and 5 more days to go!
