2 dogs, 2 babies on the way and a blog is born...

Sometimes life throws you a curveball. In our case, it threw us TWO at the same time. We realized that our struggle to have kids outlasted its course and we made the conscious decision to put the babymaking project on the shelf. Little did we know that fate has its way of working out when you're not looking!

This ultrasound was taken at 5 wks, 5 days:

Confirming I was pregnant after 5 pregnancy tests, 2 doctor's visits and an ultrasound still did not prepare us for the news of TWINS.

In fact, I had to chase down Rick to tell him the news. Funny enough I was able to capture the digital moment:

So far everything is going smoothly. No morning sickness but really intense cravings have taken over my life. Not so bad when all you want is pizza, pancakes and ice cream. All of which I never really ate in my pre-pregnancy days so indulging in this stuff has been a culinary treat!

Nearing the end of my first trimester - 10 wks, 6 days today - only 29 wks and 1 more day to go!
