I really tried to hold out on buying maternity clothes but with this burgeoning belly, I don't think I have much of a choice. So I wandered into Old Navy and Gap today and was simply...HORRIFIED. I just don't understand why almost everything I looked at was just plain UGLY. I mean I like cheap, inexpensive and a great bargain but I do not like UGLY. I don't care if its $9.99 but if its ugly, its so not worth it.
If I wanted to wear a TENT, I would go shopping at Eastern Mountain Sports. And another thing, why do these retailers have to use the cheapest fabric on the planet? Not only can you see through this stuff but its so paper thin I'd be better off wearing Kleenex and pasting it together with scotch tape?!?
And on the flip side of this coin, there's A Pea in the Pod. Nice store, great labels...what the hell is with the double and triple digit price points?!? I mean I like my designer denim but $185, REALLY? Don't these people realize that I have to save for college tuition, TWICE...
I never thought I'd say this...but I don't think I have anything to wear! What's a girl to do?
(sigh)
